We've just arrived in Shimamoto and we were looking to eat some food. Mokuba was the only place close from us, so we gave it a try.. and to say we almost missed it! We came in a Japanese owned restaurant (a really kind owner) and he welcomed us even with us talking little to no Japanese. The locals we're very very kind as well. It only costed us 1200 yen for 2 people (food + drink) and we stayed like almost an extra hour talking with locals. Some of them knew a tad of English, which made communication much easier, but they were all very welcoming and kind. Will be going there again later and highly recommend anyone to do so. It's a gem.
