Came without any expectations and was charmed by the ambience and food. Generous portion of Beef Rendang with lots of gravy. Slightly sweet with some kick. Enjoyed all the textures of a good nasi lemak: sweet, spicy, crunchy, crispy. Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5

The wait time is too long. I ordered food 11 minutes ago, and it's been 40 minutes and it still hasn't arrived. I hope they can speed things up. It's just two slices of roti. Food: 2 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1 Order type: Dine in Meal type: Brunch Price per person: SGD 1–10

Tucked away in a quiet corner of Hillview Community Club, MUMS’ Kopihouse is a small, cozy eatery with a surprisingly large menu. You can order via a QR code on the table or head to the counter — both options are straightforward and convenient. I had the egg thosai with onions. It was just okay. Smaller than usual and not very generous with the filling. That said, the accompanying chutney and curry were fresh and had a nice homemade taste, which I appreciated. I also tried the chicken leg from the à la carte menu. It was huge and very crispy, but a little underseasoned. Just a bit more salt would’ve made a big difference. My friend had the nasi lemak, which looked great and came highly recommended. I’ll probably go for that next time. Presentation overall was impressive for the price point, and the kopi, priced at $1.90 for a regular cup, was larger than expected. Overall, a decent spot for affordable local fare. Not everything wowed, but it’s worth checking out if you’re in the area.
