食べ物は、どれもとても美味しかったです。スタッフさんは、おすすめを教えてくれたりとても親切でした。他にも、まだまだ食べてみたい物があるので、ぜひ又伺いたいと思います 帰り際に、オーナーさんが、日本語で話しかけて下さり、写真を沢山取ってくれて、とても嬉しかったです。. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

タイ在住の友人にランチで連れてきてもらいました。 住宅街の中にあり、おそらく車でしか行けない立地と思いますが、要所要所日本語の単語で接客してくれます。ミシュラン取ってるためか、日本人の来店もあるようですが、小生らがお邪魔した時は、地元の方々ばかりだったようにお見受けしました。 お店はレトロで味わい深い雰囲気でめちゃめちゃいい感じ。外の風が抜けます。なんとも言えない異国情緒があふれてるのがかなり好みです。 北タイ料理ということで、あまり馴染みのないメニューもありましたが、どれを食べてもとても美味しかったです。タイ語を話せる友人にオーダーを任せてしまったので、正直何食べたのかわからないのもあります(苦笑)が、いわゆるアジアの「なんかよくわからんが美味い」を強烈に体験できます。ただ、オーダーはほぼ全部辛さ控えめにしてもらったはずなのですが、それでも一つだけめっちゃ辛いのがあったので注意。基本は辛いです。 また、東南アジアあるあるの、ハーブや葉野菜自由オーダー盛り合わせを持ってきていただけるのですが、その中にすごい苦酸っぱいのがあり、それが小生これまでの人生で食べたことのない風味でした、、、面白い経験ではありましたがめっちゃむせたので、見たことのないのを食べる時は少しずつ、が確実です。 店員さんもとても優しく、何かと気にかけてくれ、居心地のいいお店でした。こりゃバンコク中心から通うという人も多そうです。. I don’t usually gush over restaurants. I prefer to stay measured—but Maan Muang is the rare exception. Without exaggeration, it is the best restaurant I have ever dined at in my entire existence up to this point. I mean this wholeheartedly—no plate-licking involved. Today was our third visit, and this clearly isn’t a case of beginner’s luck. Three out of three times, this restaurant has delivered the most extraordinary food—honest, pure, and deeply Northern Thai. Each dish feels thoughtful and grounded, elevating the palate without ever trying to impress. We ordered: (please refer to the photos in this review—these are a collection from our past visits). What I appreciate most is what this place doesn’t do. There’s no pretension, no flash, no forced sophistication. Dishes are served on simple zinc plates—สังกะสี—the kind many Thai households use at home. This quiet confidence feels rare and draws me in, making me want to savor every bite. Needless to say, it’s one mouthgasm after another! Adding to the atmosphere, the folk music of Jaran Manophet plays softly in the background, paying subtle homage to Northern Thai heritage and completing the experience without ever overpowering it. The warmth of the staff and owners is just as memorable as the food—genuine, kind, and deeply service-minded. Never once was there any hint of negativity. The lady owner, in particular, is incredibly sweet and always present to make sure guests are happy.
