本格的なニョニャ料理を食べられるとの同僚の勧めで来店しました。1人での来店だったので、何を食べるか悩んでいたら、男性の店員の方が丁寧にオススメを教えてくれたので、楽しんで選べました。店内の雰囲気も良く、料理も美味しかったです。個人的には、Kueh Pie Teeが食べやすく美味しかったです。 名物のRempah Ayam Gorengは2〜3人前との事で、複数人でシェアするのが良いと思います。(食べきれない分は持ち帰り容器に詰めてくれるとの事で、1人でも注文できます。). Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4 Price per person: $20–30

2nd time Seth Lui disappointed me with his reviews. Thought of getting my buah keluak fix with my wife but sorely disappointed with the dish. Totally sour and sweet rempah with a dollop of buah keluak paste. I know you are supposed to mix the dollop with the rempah but my wife said it was too sour and sweet and that dollop would do no good and wasted in the rempah. The buah keluak dollop however was good and flavourful but this dish was ruined with the overbearing sour and sweet rempah. Tahu goreng was ok with a very generous serve of peanut sauce. Nonya chap Chye was also ok. Had some small shrimps inside. Was there for early dinner and the place was totally empty. Should have taken that as a warning. Had a similar albeit worse experience at another restaurant in Malacca with the same name. Maybe they are related. Price per person: $20–30 Food: 2 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3

Whenever I come across Nonya food, I yearn for the taste of my late grandmother's (she is 100% Nonya) cooking once again. She was a great cook. So I was hoping that Makko Teck Neo could be the one to blow my taste buds away. Ordered their Ayam Buah Keluak, Babi Pongteh and Nyona Chap Chye. Their dishes were on the salty side, especially the Ayam Buah Keluak ($18.90). Strangely, I found a pork rib in my Ayam Buah Keluak. The saltiness would have cancelled out the subtler flavours that I was expecting from Nyona dishes. Their Babi Pongteh ($14.90) contained only 3 small pork ribs, so I can't shake the feeling that the dish is overpriced. Their Nyona Chap Chye ($14.90) didn't contain dried shrimps, so was missing the umami that could have been there. No, none of their dishes reminded me of my late grandmother's cooking. Service was clinical. No one was rude to me, but none of them were welcoming either. The portion of rice ($2!!) served is less than in other places. Overall, it is hard for me to be excited about this place. I probably won't be returning anytime soon. Food: 3 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 4 Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $20–30
