1Jul26 - owned by a Chinese Muslim, the owner told us that Islamic financial principles guides his business. It was also heartening that despite inflation and rising food costs, he has not raised Mak's Place's food prices since Covid times (5-6yrs ago)! We tried the Hokkien Mee, Squid Youtiao / Fritter (so good! Generous tender squid filling, soft crisp youtiao even when no longer hot), dry fried beef kway teow, spicy seafood fried rice, gong bao chicken, homemade barley drink with lemon slices (thick, zesty, unsweetened), vanilla ice cream (halfway through I made my own affogato), kopi si kosong and teh si kosong peng. The fried rice and kway teow were a little too sweet for me, however I think it is probably to cater to their customers' tastes. Opens late and you can even order up to 12.30am! Service is warm, setting comfortable (we were at unit 405), toilet is clean and equipped.

Came before years back the food meh. Service were slow. Gave another chance but still disappointed. .Food is acceptable Served our rice first but main dishes came so late. Rice became cold and dry.Our hotplate beef were not even hot. Except for the filipino lady the rest of the crew member service were bad. The blonde hair guy just stood there with our food and expect us to clear our table eventhough before that we said to clear our empty plates so easier for them to put the upcoming food. Food took so long each table had cancellations. I even cancelled some dishes cause an hour in we still din get some food. Will be the last. Price per person: $100+ Food: 4 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

Made reservations but still have to wait for about 15mins before tables were ready. Honestly their service is poor. And the food took forever to be served. Just spoiled everyone's mood. The food just so so. Food: 1 Service: 1 Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $40–50 Parking space: Somewhat difficult to find parking
