It’s quite expensive, and worst of all, it doesn’t taste like a mala fragrance pot at all. It’s just spicy with a strong yellow curry powder flavor—there’s no real mala fragrance. Has the chef actually tried mala before? Why use yellow curry powder? Please review and improve the recipe. I didn’t intend to leave a review, but after this experience, I felt I had to—and only then did I realize many others feel the same way. Price per person: $30–40 Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

the taste is not mala at all, it tasted like curry powder mix. extremely overpriced. the ingredients look okay in the fridge but tasted not that fresh like they have been lying in the fridge for more than a month. worst decision I made for lunch. now I need an ice cream to rid the bad taste. if you wanna open a hawker stall, at least sell decent food. if not the business wont last. and, what is the point. absolutely noone wants to buy expensive lousy food during hard times especially. Review of Mala Version 2 Honestly, I should have checked the reviews before ordering. While the stall offers a wide variety of ingredients to choose from, the overall execution falls short. The culinary skills of the chef feel very average — the flavours don’t quite come together, and the dish lacks the depth and balance you’d expect from a good mala bowl. It’s not terrible, but it’s also not something I’d intentionally return for. I might give it another try if I’m in the area with no better options, but it’s definitely not a go-to choice for mala lovers. Price per person: $20–30 Food: 3 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3 Vegetarian options: Plenty of choices
