I decided to finally try the food at Malthouse for Sunday dinner after passing by it many times. Very poor service. We reached around 10 mins before 8pm, but weren't informed that happy hour was until 8pm. We had input our beer order into the online ordering system (which still had happy hr prices) but only submitted the order 3 mins after 8pm. Order was rejected and we paid full price on beer. We didn't mention it as it's not a big deal since we didn't notice the HH times too. What made the dinner unenjoyable was the service of a petite lady who looked like she was forced to be working. Foul mood and stared at us for 5 secs like it was a ridiculous request when asked for burger to be cut into half for sharing. FYI the place was barely half full and not busy. Water also had to be requested, which again was met with unhappiness. While clearing tables, chairs were dragged against the floor instead of lifting them up, making unbearable noises in a relatively quiet environment. Fresh cutlery and table advertisement stand slammed onto the tables instead of placing down as you do. As with previous comment (we saw them leave 80% of pizza untouched), pizza crust was undercooked and doughy. Poutine was salty and topped with what looked like shredded mozzarella instead of cheese curds (what was written on menu). Lastly we were asked by all 3 wait staff whether we had last orders at 3 different times?? Had wanted to try their Sunday Roast after seeing their advertisement but definitely will not be going back. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 3
