Food was alright but service was kinda rude and standoff ish. We were the only indian people there I guess so we got treated that way. She was fine with the other folks that visited (Caucasian). If you want perfectly clean tables, fast food, or fake smiles—this is not the place for you. Go to the night market where you’ll be treated like a rich idiot. But if you’re here for genuinely good& fresh food authentic Thai, and dirt-cheap prices of 50 baht —this is exactly the place For the two of us we ordered two pad thais (pro tip: ordering the same dish speeds things up) and spring rolls, and everything came out hot, fresh, and full of flavor. The noodles are spot on, the veggies are fresh and crunchy. Portions are on the smaller side, so I’d recommend asking for double chicken / meet. You’ll pay a bit more, but it makes a big difference ( still great deal comparing to night market meals of around 200-250 baht). Prices are around 50 baht per plate (still worth double-checking), which is wild for the quality. Drinks are easy—there’s a place across the road selling them for about 20 baht. It’s just one woman running everything herself, and you can feel it. She’s cooking each dish fresh, taking orders, and handling the whole place solo. Because of that, yeah—you might wait a bit, and the tables aren’t always spotless. And she might come across a little abrupt at first, but it’s more about being busy than being rude. I wouldn't be as polite when serving some arrogant tourist for this cheap price of 50baht per meal. Another tip - take the food for the go, and eat at the beach - there's a shortcut and passage near through the wooden gym place. Simple setup, real food, real experience. Not for everyone—but if you get it, you really get it. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Mama’s Thai Food is an absolute gem. It’s a one-woman operation, so be patient. Everything is homemade, flavorful, and very affordablec(50 baht for any dish). The real standout for me are the smoothies. Hands down the best I’ve had on the island. Thick, fresh, and just 50 baht — they’d easily cost over $10 back in the U.S. I ended up coming back almost every day just for those. Order one while you wait for your food (usually takes less than 5 minutes for smoothies), I promise you won't regret it. FYI, Mama may look a little serious while taking your order (you have to go to the counter and give her your order), but she’s pretty nice, just focused and working hard to make all the orders herself. If you're looking for delicious local eats without breaking the bank, this is the spot.
