A Pleasant Surprise at Man Fu Yuan, One Bangkok I happened to walk into Man Fu Yuan while exploring One Bangkok, specifically within The Storeys zone. From the outside, the restaurant immediately stood out—elegant, inviting, and quietly sophisticated. Upon closer look, I discovered they offer a buffet menu with three pricing tiers: 598, 798, and 998 THB. Arriving at around 12:40 PM, I opted for the 598 set, as orders were being taken until 1:30 PM—perfect for a lighter, more relaxed lunch. Overall, the experience was very satisfying. The dishes were well-presented, flavorful, and generously portioned, reflecting a solid standard of quality across the menu. It’s the kind of place that delivers comfort with a touch of refinement. What truly elevated the visit, however, was the warm and attentive service. The staff were welcoming, smiling, and genuinely courteous, creating an atmosphere that felt both relaxed and well cared for. All in all, it was a delightful and memorable meal—one that I would happily recommend to others looking for a quality Chinese dining experience in the heart of the city. I visited the Man Fu Yuan at One Bangkok (The Storeys, 3rd floor) for their dim sum buffet, trying the most affordable package at 598 THB. For this price, it was a very worthwhile experience with some standout dishes and impeccable service. **Pro Tip:** I highly recommend booking through the "Hungry Hub" app. Walk-in customers pay the same 598 THB but it excludes drinks. Booking via Hungry Hub includes free-flow soft drinks and tea, which is a much better deal. **The Food:** While the dim sum selection is not extensive (around 20 items), the quality of certain dishes was outstanding. * **The Absolute Highlights:** The main dishes were surprisingly the stars of the show. The **Fried Rice** had a wonderful "wok hei" (smoky aroma) and was perfectly fluffy. The **Congee** was smooth, silky, and had a rich, delicious pork bone broth flavor. The **Fried Items** were also exceptional—perfectly crispy and not greasy at all. The deep-fried dough sticks with minced pork and the shrimp pancakes were fantastic. * **Very Good:** The **Xiao Long Bao** were delicious and packed with soup, though many arrived with the skin already broken. The rice noodle rolls (both shrimp and BBQ pork) and the pork wontons with Yunnan chili sauce were also very flavorful. * **Just Okay:** I found the classic **Ha Gao** (shrimp dumplings) and **Siu Mai** (pork dumplings) to be standard, but not as impressive as the other dishes. The desserts were also unremarkable. **Service & Ambiance:** The atmosphere is excellent—very spacious, elegant, and comfortable. I cannot praise the staff enough. Service was fast, attentive, and very efficient at clearing plates, even when the restaurant was busy. **Verdict:** For 598 THB, Man Fu Yuan offers a great value buffet, especially if you appreciate high-quality main dishes and fried dim sum.
