Very good Cantonese restaurant in Bangkok—probably the best for me in the city. The highlight was the duck. Even though we didn’t order the full Peking duck because it was too large, we had the roasted duck with thin pancakes and it was excellent. Compared with the three-star Michelin restaurant in Taipei, Le Palais, this suited my taste better. Other dishes were above average. The only flaw was the crab xiao long bao. The skin tip was thick and chewy, and on top sat an over-steamed uni that didn’t make much sense—perhaps put inside the dumpling is better? The filling felt overcooked, and the broth had too much ginger to taste the umami. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
