I would not recommend Mandarin Kata Restaurant in Phuket. While my wife and I were still eating, the staff came to our table twice with the bill, even though they did not appear to treat other customers the same way. When I politely asked whether the restaurant was closing soon, they replied “no.” This made us feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. I cannot help but wonder whether we were treated differently because our bill was below 1000 baht or because of our Indian ancestry. When my wife later questioned the staff about their behaviour, we were rudely told, in a shouting manner, to “call the police.” We found this extremely disrespectful and disappointing. What made the experience even more confusing was that the staff had earlier been actively encouraging us to dine there. To avoid unnecessary unpleasant experiences, I would suggest considering the many other restaurants in Phuket that provide better hospitality and respectful service to all customers. For your reply, it is Impossible staff make same mistake twice. It's a good tactic to push my review down by asking your friends to review. We would like to clarify that our staff accidentally presented the bill to the wrong table while checking another table nearby.Our staff apologized immediately after realizing the mistake and did not intend to rush your meal in any way.
