I had a really great meal at Maolan Tea House. I ordered the seafood fried rice, three-cups squid, and assorted ferns salad, and everything was honestly delicious. The seafood fried rice was flavorful and well-cooked, with fresh seafood and no oily aftertaste. The three-cups squid stood out—tender, aromatic, and perfectly balanced with soy sauce, sesame oil, and basil. The assorted ferns salad was a pleasant surprise: fresh, lightly dressed, and a great contrast to the richer dishes. Overall, the food tasted fresh, comforting, and thoughtfully prepared. Definitely a place I’d recommend if you want good Taiwanese food done right. You also get to have a nice view of Taipei 101 while eating.
