Masagana Kitchen, located in Pridi Banomyong 40, is a cozy family-run restaurant offering authentic Filipino cuisine. I visited during the weekend buffet, which is a great way to try a wide variety of dishes. The grilled chicken with atsara (pickled grated papaya) was a highlight—juicy, flavorful, and well balanced with the fresh, slightly tangy side. The adobo dishes were good, but the real standouts were the stews. The Beef Caldereta was tender and comforting, with a rich tomato-based sauce, while the pork dishes, both stewed and roasted, were well prepared and full of flavor. The meal finished with dessert and a scoop of ice cream, which was a nice touch. The place has a warm, welcoming atmosphere, is often busy with locals, and the staff are friendly and helpful in explaining the dishes. Overall, a great way to experience Filipino cuisine.
