美味しくない。 接客態度が悪い。客の話しを聞かない。意味がわからない。 二度といかないし、私の周りの人間には絶対に勧めない。 なぜなら、最低限のサービス、鮮度などが受ける事ができる店は五万とあるから。

Since I couldn’t see my previous review for some reason, I’m posting my feelings again: I was really lucky to stumble upon this sushi restaurant that’s been around since 1951. The decor is simple and unpretentious, but that’s exactly what makes it feel warm and authentic. Most of the customers are locals, so it’s clearly their go-to spot for everyday sushi. The seafood here is absolutely top-notch. I highly recommend the omakase for around 5000 yen, where the chef chooses the best ingredients of the day. You get to try a variety of sushi, and the selection changes daily depending on what’s in season. I also ordered a kaisen-don (seafood rice bowl), which was equally amazing! It was loaded with the freshest slices of fish, and the flavor, aroma, and presentation were all spot on. The chef runs the place with his family, and he’s super friendly. While most of the customers are locals, he’s also very welcoming to foreign guests! He doesn’t speak any foreign languages, but you can communicate using a translator app. He even set up an Alipay QR code because he made some Chinese friends. I know it must be tough for an older person to deal with digital payments, but he did it to make things easier for his customers. I think that’s the true spirit of omotenashi (Japanese hospitality).
