Probably the best or second best coffee shop in Singapore. Try their seasonal special blend or single origin for your espresso or black coffee (must be hot) and you will be blown away. One cup always feels like it's never enough when you're here. I also tried my partner's ice cereal milk latte but it was meh.. Anyway, this was not my first visit and definitely won't be my last. Amazing coffee shop and very knowledgeable barista. Price per person: $1–10 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Black

It’s hard to have a unique vibe, with Instagram and all. Maxi is the first offer place I’ve gone into in a while that felt like it was doing its own thing. Great baristas, club like feel, and the coffee is the bomb.

Maxi Coffee Bar has been on my list for a while, and I finally dropped by to try their famous Iced Cereal Milk Latte ($8). The cafe is small but lively, often packed even on weekday afternoons, with friendly staff though limited seating. The cereal milk latte lived up to its reputation - essentially an iced white with cereal-infused milk that adds gentle sweetness along with savory and nutty notes. It’s a fun twist on the classic latte, though it did get slightly diluted as the ice melted. Recommend this for those who enjoy lighter coffee profiles that’s subtly sweet. I also had the Pain au Chocolat ($5.50), which I got mainly cos the lamination is super pretty! While I wished it were crispier and flakier, it had quite a generous amount of dark chocolate inside, making a pleasant pastry to pair with coffee.
