モバイルオーダーで注文したところ、ストローが入っていませんでした。 友人の方は同時に店頭で注文し、ほとんどのポテトに塩が付いていませんでした。 さすがにチェーン店としてありえないと思います。 Food: 2 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3

Don’t let the low rating deter you—McDonald’s (マクドナルド 八戸ラピア店) inside Lapia Mall delivers on speed, service, and surprisingly good food. Hot fries, fresh shrimp burgers, and polite staff more than make up for the busier food court vibe and lack of self-service kiosks. A surprisingly great experience. Full Review: Let’s be honest: food courts in malls tend to be hit or miss—convenient, yes, but rarely impressive. So walking into the McDonald’s (マクドナルド 八戸ラピア店) within Lapia Mall in Hachinohe, my expectations were measured. The seasoned mallgoer in me anticipated something a little chaotic, a little uninspired, and maybe a little disappointing. Add to that the less-than-stellar 2.7 rating on Google Maps, and I was halfway to walking past it altogether. But here’s the twist: this location delivered—on all fronts. For starters, the food was better than just passable. The fries were hot and fresh, golden and crispy like they’d just been pulled from the fryer (none of that limp, lukewarm afterthought nonsense you sometimes get elsewhere). And the shrimp burgers? Genuinely impressive. They had that fresh-made feel—crisp coating, juicy interior, and just the right tang in the sauce. The kicker? They arrived within minutes, piping hot, and perfectly assembled. Now, full disclosure: there are elements that might not be everyone’s cup of tea. The seating area was more bustling than the typically serene, low-noise McDonald’s experience one might find elsewhere in Japan. It had that lively mall energy, which some might find chaotic. And yes, there’s no self-service kiosk, which may slow down the process for non-Japanese speakers. But even with my limited Japanese skills, ordering at the counter was a breeze—the staff were patient, polite, and helpful, making the experience feel more welcoming than worrisome. And being located in a mall has its perks: grab a bite, do a little shopping, stretch your legs—there’s more flexibility here than at a standalone location. The low Google rating likely stems from Japan’s understandably high standards—customers expect a lot from their establishments, even chains. But this is one of those times where the experience defies the score.
