We arrived at the restaurant at just over 1:00 pm. But we were surprised we were able to walk in. This is because Mellow Brown Coffee By UCC was popular and always had a very long waiting line. The positive point is that their menu has an extensive range of food on offer. They have pasta, gratin, risotto, casserole, rice omelette, bread bowl, beef stew, pizza, salad, side dishes, savoury thick French toast, sweet thick French toast, kids set and special set. Last time I came here was in November 2023. Since then I can see that they have increased the price for all items. Also, their special set for lunch usually had soup, salad and drink included but now only a drink is included at additional cost of HKD 36 for weekday and HKD 41 for weekend plus public holiday. Then I understood why there were less people here than before. Since the increase in price of special set and the fact that it doesn’t provide value in that it now only includes a drink I see most people not ordering the special set. They just drank water. You have to order through the QR code. Both of us went for the Gratin. We ordered Chicken & Mushroom Gratin and Pork Meatball with Herbs & Broccoli Genovese Gratin. We waited for over 15 minutes for the Gratin to be delivered. We had to chase once as well. Both Gratin tasted nice. But the portion was the same despite the increase in price. Service was not that good. Because the waiters were only paying attention to delivering the food and getting bill for the customers. We had to chase them for us to get the water refilled. It’s a 3 rating because at least the gratin tasted ok. But since there is lack of value not sure if we will visit again. Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $100–150 Food: 3 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 3
