Metro Buffet was located on the 5th floor of Caesar Metro Taipei and was considered one of the more affordable buffet options in Taipei. Although it didn’t feature many premium ingredients, the overall selection was quite diverse. The puff pastry soup was nice, though the ingredients in the soup were a bit limited. The freshly prepared beef soup tasted as expected, but the broth was slightly too sweet. The salmon sashimi and hand rolls were decent, while the tuna sometimes had noticeable sinew. The U.S. ribeye steak was quite good, with a nice level of doneness and a good balance of fat. One unique highlight was the DIY grass jelly dessert, which I personally really enjoyed. One downside was the service. When we mentioned that the beer glasses had run out, the staff responded by saying that all the glasses had been taken and suggested using regular drink cups instead. It was a bit surprising to hear that, but considering the affordable price, it was still acceptable. Overall, the staff’s service response could use some improvement. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: NT$1,400–1,600 Food: 4 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 4 Recommended dishes: 手捲, 爐烤牛排, 烤布蕾
