I had lunch at Mezze yesterday. The venue is pleasant, the staff were friendly, and the service was good. Unfortunately, the food was disappointing. I ordered the Original Hummus and Lamb Kofta. The hummus arrived cold, served in a cold dish, and it felt as if it had been kept in the refrigerator rather than prepared fresh for the order. I eat at Lebanese restaurants quite often, and I’ve never had hummus served this way before. On top of that, the taste was very bland. The Lamb Kofta was okay, but nothing more than that. Overall, a nice place with good service, but the food did not meet the standard I would expect from a Lebanese restaurant. Three stars feels generous.

My experience at Mezze Lebanese Eatery can be summed up in a single word: Wow. This place gets 5 stars across the board from me, as some of the best Lebanese food I’ve had anywhere in the world! (Note that this restaurant is on the 3rd floor of a small building, but they have both stairs and an elevator.) We ordered the cold mezze platter, garlic lemon chicken, and grilled aubergine. Every single dip and dish was cooked perfectly and had amazing, complex flavors. The cold mezze is a great deal for what you get—5 dips, four dolma, two huge pita breads, and fried pita chips. The garlic lemon chicken was juicy, tender, and truly lived up to its flavorful title. The aubergine also held its own against everything else, with an amazing blend of garlic, feta, and chili topping each perfectly grilled piece. Staff are polite, welcoming, and helpful. The space itself is minimalistic but tastefully designed and colored, with beautiful pottery and muted, elegant colors. If you need a little Mediterranean oasis in the midst of Bangkok’s hustle and bustle, please try Mezze Lebanese Eatery—it’s well worth it.
