#Taipei #Taiwan #Miacucina (My kitchen) Nanxi Vegetarian restaurant. Our meal was okay overall. The restaurant was very busy, and we had to wait about an hour for a table. We put our name down and went for a walk while waiting, which helped pass the time. This restaurant offers some vegan options, but unfortunately the two menu items we originally chose were not available. With Lunar New Year celebrations underway, shortages were probably unavoidable. That alone likely dropped my rating by one star — at a different time, I may have scored the experience higher. My wife and I both ended up choosing our second options. I ordered the buddha bowl that came with falafel and other vegan items which was good. My wife had the pesto pasta and described it as just okay. After trying some myself, I agreed — it wasn’t really to my taste. She ended up picking from my plate instead, saying my choice was the better one. We also shared a broccoli appetizer. That was pretty good. The restaurant was noisy and extremely crowded, but the wait staff handled the rush very well. Despite how busy it was, they did an excellent job keeping up with customers, so there’s absolutely no criticism of their service.
