Cash only! And they speak no English from what I can tell. We did not know it was cash only but desperately looking for a meal as pizza express closes early at 9:30pm after a long day being a tourist. It looked ok from the outside with some locals so we thought we’d give it a try. My husband had to go to an atm nearby to quickly get cash but we’d ordered some sweet sour pork and rice and drinks. Not much. It just happened that way as it wasn’t intentional because we didn’t know it was cash only. After a minute or two a tiny lady who was the cashier started ranting at us to move and complaining we’d been given drinks. Now it’s customary to pay at the end of the meal not before and my husband did have cash but he was worried it wasn’t enough as we couldn’t work out prices exactly being foreigners. We were there and not going anywhere so I think a decent restaurant would be polite and respectful. Honestly it was really bizarre and I’ve eaten in all sorts of places so I’m not sure why this woman thought it was appropriate to be so rude. They also acted like we were going to rob them. I’m a teacher and my husband works in IT we have very good jobs and were smartly dressed so it made no sense for her to be so rude. Anyway my son accidentally knocked over his drink because she stressed him out so much. Food ok - hot and vegetables were fresh in sweet and sour- no stomach bugs thankfully. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: HK$50–100 Food: 3 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 2
