This one-star review has nothing to do with the food or service itself. I absolutely love Quinn's BBQ and feel it is one of the best options for North American style BBQ in Taipei. However, today I found out they don't sort or recycle any of the numerous plastic and paper containers that they use. I've never seen a business use more plastic lids, cups, forks and knives, paper containers, and straws than Mighty Quinn's. Whereas other businesses have specific bins for sorting plastics and papers (even Costco does this in their little food court area), Quinn's dumps everything into general trash. I feel this is completely unacceptable, especially in this day in age when we have organizations such as the Plastic Pollution Coalition shedding light on the major crisis we have with the accumulation and improper disposal of plastic waste. I'm not a big advocate for any one cause. But I feel a little common sense is in order and local businesses have a responsibility to not only their consumers, but their community and their environment to help stem the tide of needless, wasteful practices. I was disgusted by the amount of recyclables I had to toss in their general waste bin today. I'll be having a chat with their head managers about this very important and massive oversight.
