Crispy, Creamy & Seriously Addictive! We stumbled upon Milkfill in Hong Kong and what a fantastic little discovery this turned out to be! It’s a fresh and interesting pastry concept that takes something seemingly simple — a puff pastry filled with cream — and makes it into something really special. The idea is brilliant. You first choose from the different flavours of freshly baked puffs on display, and only after you order do they inject the fresh milk cream into the pastry and serve it to you on the spot. That means you get the contrast exactly as it should be — crispy and flaky on the outside, with beautiful fresh cream inside. And WOW… these puffs are delicious!! The pastry has layer after layer of that wonderful buttery, flaky crispness, while the fresh milk cream inside is smooth and creamy. Put the two together and it is dangerously good! Sweet, creamy, crispy and savoury all at once. There are also plenty of flavours to choose from, including Original, Sea Salt, Double Salted Egg, Pistachio and Chocolate, so I suspect one visit may not be enough! The display itself makes it very difficult to walk away without buying something. But what really pushed our experience to 5 stars was the service. A very special shout-out to the two lovely young ladies, Coffee and Pearl! My wife and I were standing outside the shop enjoying our puffs when they noticed us eating. Without us asking for anything, they actually walked out and brought us two cups of soda water! Now THAT is what I call going above and beyond. Both of them were incredibly friendly, cheerful and chatty, and that small gesture completely made our evening. It’s always nice to find good food, but when you combine it with people who genuinely care about their customers, the experience becomes memorable. Milkfill — fantastic concept, seriously delicious puffs and absolutely wonderful service! We’ll definitely be back for more the next time we’re in Hong Kong!
