たまたま入った店でしたが入って正解でした！どれも美味しかったですが特に塩漬け卵と肉団子の煮込み？みたいなお料理が日本では食べたことがない味で新鮮でした. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

We visited Mipon last night with high expectations for refined, Michelin-recognised Taiwanese cuisine, but unfortunately the experience fell well short. Several dishes were disappointing. The kung pao chicken was overwhelmed by chillies and peanuts to the point that any underlying flavour was lost, and the chicken itself lacked the expected crispness. The sweet and sour spare ribs were very tough and noticeably lacking in depth of flavour. Service at our 8pm sitting felt rushed throughout. Despite having a reservation, there was a clear sense that the staff were trying to turn the table over as quickly as possible rather than allowing us to enjoy the meal at a comfortable pace. To add to the frustration, we were only informed that multiple menu items were unavailable after attempting to order them, significantly limiting our choices. The ambience also detracted from the experience. Much of the evening was accompanied by the loud clattering of knives and forks as staff cleared down around us, which made the setting feel hurried and inattentive rather than relaxed or refined. We chose not to order the set course as it was very seafood-heavy. Interestingly, the steamed fish we did try was the best dish of the evening, suggesting that seafood may be where the kitchen truly excels and perhaps where their focus should remain. Overall, this was a disappointing visit that did not match the reputation we had anticipated. Food: 1 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 1 Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $2,000+
