Chiang Mai Trip M just back from an amazing trip to Chiang Mai. This trip to Chiang Mai really stole my heart. “ Its Halal travelling trip, frm A-Z. TIS Halal really hit the mark! Hotel accomadation was top notch, staff were super friendly, rooms were comfy, and the food was halal n delicious plus the driver was on point. Highly recommended for a chill stay.. Wonderful experience! Location superp! Service efficient! Will definately make a return..God’s willing! In syaa Allah. Names to mention : Hakim (didnt get other names) Can see staffs working everywhere n anywhere.. they are multitaskers! ABSOLUTE SCAM! – Exploiting people’s halal sensitivity for profit! I booked one night at Mira Residence & Resort (Halal) after being misled by their flashy social media promotions. It turned out to be one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve had. They advertise “halal”, “luxurious buffet breakfast”, and “quality service” — but what they actually deliver is far below standard, comparable to a cheap roadside guesthouse. The location is terrible — isolated, inconvenient, far from the city center. But I still chose this place because I trusted their promise of a proper halal breakfast. Instead, we woke up to a non-existent buffet, replaced without warning or consent by a pre-made, low-effort plate that lacked both variety and quality. I’ve had 200 baht street food that felt more thoughtful and satisfying. I paid 1300 baht for a service that wasn’t even worth 500 baht. This place is clearly taking advantage of Muslim travelers by misusing the word "halal" — using religious values as a business tool, without delivering the quality or integrity that comes with it. As a Muslim who genuinely values halal standards, I’ve unfortunately faced similar disappointments at other so-called “halal” hotels in Thailand. Just putting the word halal on your sign doesn't mean you’re doing us a favor. We are paying customers. We expect what we are promised, and what we pay for. It’s also clear that the staff here lack proper training and hospitality education. I do not blame the young employees — they were polite and seemed to be doing their best. But their lack of professionalism is a direct reflection of poor management and zero leadership. This hotel clearly has no understanding of how to run a professional hospitality business. Shame on this hotel — and any business that hides behind the halal label while delivering subpar service. If you care about quality, honesty, or your faith, avoid this place completely. Service: 1
