会員制クラブに日本食レストランが....味は標準より上で、価格もそこそこ。こんな店が会員以外利用できないとは....

A pity that Raffles Town Club will be no more come October 26. And with it Miyabi which has been one of my favourite Japanese restaurants. Hope they will relocate somewhere else Meal type: Lunch

if you're thinking about visiting before the club closes, don't bother. my family previously came quite regularly as we have club membership, but it's been a while since we last visited - recently came back on a sunday night under reservation, and the service and food quality was so poor, you would have been better off going to any regular chain restaurants in sg. firstly, the service was abysmal and wholly unprofessional. food service took around 1h 15 mins, even for things like sashimi, chawanmushi, and rice bowls. i got a salmon set, but the items were not served together, nor were they stated to be a part of the set when served - staff simply just placed a bunch of items tgt with other orders on the table like it was a la carte. what's the point of asking who each item was for if you're not even attempting to serve it to the person, even telling your guests to just "自己拿" and walking away without waiting for a response? staff also couldn't remember what had already been served and forgot some other items. secondly, the atmosphere. for the price you're paying, and the location of the restaurant, you would expect at least a semi quiet dining experience. instead, the serving staff and even the chefs were speaking so loudly and calling out to each other like it was a kopitiam - we could even hear the staff getting into arguments between themselves and gossiping about past employees/work culture without caring that there still guests dining. Mind you, this was the case for even the managerial level serving staff, and overall it was a poor and awkward dining experience. this would all have been bearable if the food lived up to the price, but the standard of food was also a joke. the tuna sashimi had a bone in it, and the salmon teriyaki was served smashed up, which was completely unacceptable. the foie gras came half buried in 90% salad, and overall food portions were extremely small. i don't expect the exact same standard to be maintained given that it is a few months to closing and they are probably severely understaffed too, but the attitude is almost cavalier in how they are operating the restaurant. sad to see how far it has deteriorated. Price per person: $40–50 Food: 2 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
