We visited Mohsen Restaurant for a late lunch on a Saturday, arriving around 3:30 PM. At that time, the restaurant was mostly empty, which made for a quiet and relaxed dining experience. We ordered a Chenjeh Kebab with rice, a Koobideh Kebab without rice, a Chenjeh and Tabei Kebab combination, mixed yogurt, and a Coke Zero. The total bill was around 1,100 Baht, which I believe is quite reasonable for the amount of food served. The rice portions were generous, while the kebab sizes were average neither particularly large nor small. I should mention that I was extremely hungry when the food arrived and started eating immediately before remembering to take a photo. So if the food in the picture looks like a battle has already taken place on the plate, that’s the reason! The original presentation was actually quite nice. The staff were respectful, friendly, and helpful. The restaurant also serves tea, which is always a nice touch for an Iranian meal. As for the food itself, I would describe the kebab quality as average not outstanding, but not disappointing either. Compared to some other Iranian restaurants I have tried outside Iran, this one is slightly better. However, I have only tried the kebabs so far and cannot comment on the rest of the menu. If you are looking for truly authentic Iranian food exactly as you would find in Iran, this may not fully meet those expectations. On the other hand, considering how far we are from Iran, the food is quite acceptable and enjoyable. The Tabei Kebab was a bit too oily for my personal taste, but the yogurt was very good and the overall service was pleasant. One area that could be improved is the restroom. During my visit, it could have been cleaner and there were no tissues available. Also the interior is quite simple Overall, I would recommend Mohsen Restaurant if you are craving Iranian kebabs in Bangkok. The prices are fair, portions are good, service is friendly, and the food is enjoyable. Just keep your expectations realistic don’t expect the very best kebab you’ve ever had, but you can still have a satisfying Iranian meal. For that reason, I give it 4 stars.
