I am so sad we came here. I have spent a sleepless night thinking about these poor monkeys sitting for hours in their own urine, with no stimulation and exhibiting repetitive behaviours. I wrote to a wildlife charity in Thailand and thought I’d copy their response below in case anyone else who visits wants to do more than just feel sad for a moment and move on: Thank you for trying to help the animals of Thailand. We monitor most of the captive animal facilities here and will continue to advocate for stronger laws and improved welfare to protect these animals. To further support these efforts, we kindly ask for your help in reporting your concerns to the relevant authorities. Your report will help push for stronger protections and better welfare standards for animals in Thailand - and the more reports they receive, the more likely that action will be taken. I almost didn’t come because of the bad reviews, but I’m glad I did. I had a good experience here. The monkey show was fun, and the monkeys were very smart. I didn’t see anyone hurt or mistreat the monkeys during my visit. The staff were calm and friendly. I know some people may not like seeing the monkeys on chains. But from my experience growing up in Thailand, monkeys are very strong and can be dangerous. I think the chains may be used to keep both the monkeys and visitors safe. This is just my personal experience. Everyone can have a different opinion, but I’m happy I came and saw it for myself. Price per person: ฿200–400

As an animal lover, especially monkeys we were absolutely disgusted with our visit here, the living conditions for these monkeys is just Appalling I wish there was a way to set these poor animals free, you can see the sadness in their eyes chained up in a tiny damp dark cage and brang out for 5 minutes to perform an act. I wish I read the reviews before coming here. Just so so sad to see.
