AVOID. DECAYING ROOMS AND DISHONEST HOST. The room was a complete disaster and looked nothing like the photos. It was run-down with holes in the window nets, which led to a horrific swarm of flying termites attacking me during the night. I couldn't sleep at all. When I confronted the host, she didn't apologize—she just bluntly told me to move out. The nightmare continued for TWO MONTHS as she refused to send a refund which she promised. I was gaslit with constant excuses: first she 'didn’t know how' to refund, then she missed her own deadlines, and finally claimed she was 'on holiday' and 'just woke up' to avoid paying. She only transferred the money today after I issued a final legal ultimatum and a 5 PM deadline. The host works another job and has zero interest in maintaining this property or treating guests with respect. Do not risk your money or your sanity here. Service: 1

Having a lovely stay at Montview. From our initial 2 night stay, we extend 3 more nights. Comfortable room, clean bathrooms, kettle and coffer available. Good WiFi speeds. We have our own car, so location is not really a issue. Once a day, we take the drive to "town" to have a meal and do our things. Nui the owner is a lovely host and attended to all our needs. Bonus that she speaks good English too. Recommended for guest who have their own transport Update: we extended our stay even longer and Nui offered us stay at her beach side hut at Khlong Yai, on the mainland. Fabulous sunset every evening. If you want a beach side experience, ask Nui about her Klong Yai place Service: 5
