While walking past More Eggettes, a local street snack shop specializing in classic Hong Kong egg waffles, I was immediately drawn to their vibrant posters showcasing an array of creative eggette and waffle flavors. According to their menu, they have upgraded the classic street treat into an inventive "Starry Series" alongside standard options like Original (HKD$24):. Chocolate Starry (HKD$38). The Starry Night (HKD$43). Sweet Potato Starry (HKD$39). Honey Fondant (HKD$38). Sweet Cream (HKD$33). They have also introduced a new Pineapple flavor (HKD$33) highlighted on a sticky note. Taste Test: Chocolate Starry Eggettes. I decided to order the Chocolate Starry eggettes. Served fresh and piping hot, the visual presentation is an absolute knockout. Embedded squarely onto each chocolate-colored egg puff is a tiny, perfectly formed yellow star, making the entire snack look incredibly whimsical and Instagram-worthy! Texture-wise, it hits all the right marks—wonderfully crisp on the outside with a satisfyingly soft, chewy interior. The rich chocolate flavor of the batter pairs beautifully with the slightly sweet crunch of the star inserts. It delivers a rich, sweet cocoa profile without being cloying at all. Overall, More Eggettes successfully combines a fun aesthetic twist with solid execution of classic flavors. It is a highly recommended grab-and-go sweet treat while exploring the neighborhood!
