The Salted Egg Yoke Porkchop Rice is decent, and nothing special. It could have been better if they offer the dry varient as opposed to wet varient. Meal type: Lunch Price per person: SGD 1–10 Food: 3 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3

Yet another stall jumping on to the fried rice and paofan bandwagon. But they have an interesting take on things. First off, there are many different types of fried rice available (pork chop, signature, salmon, tom yum, egg etc menu 1 to 8). I chose pork. Next you'll need to choose one flavour (at least, that's the case for the pork menu option). Lastly, you'll need to choose two side dishes to go with the meal. You have salad (which comes with olives!), cheese fries, onion rings etc. Certainly a tad confusing for first timer and that gets on the nerves of the cashier. The fried rice I chose egg flavour as opposed to tom yum, or mala or XO, simply because I wanted to taste the basic flavour to ascertain the skill of the cook. Alas, I must say, the fried rice was mediocre. It's a tad too wet. And there's a lack of wok hei. A half decent cook at home without the right equipment could replicate the same. The pork chop could do with more browning and marinating. The uncle at my table said there's a better one nearby... Was my expression that obvious?! Haha. Till then...

Tried the one at Sengkang square. loads of choices and good for a neighborhood fried rice
