. Vegan food made by a registered dietician and vegan cooking instructor. The food is made with love and presented in its simple beauty. The flavors here excite the taste with two types of tofu, two types of sushi rolls, miso soup, sweet food and pickled food, plus an earthy and pleasant barley tea to accompany the meal. Two sisters own the restaurant and both are polite, kind, and friendly. We ended up sharing photos and site suggestions for each of us. It is a small restaurant, not too busy, which allows them to put forth the health and passion into their food. A Must -visit when in the area! Price per person: ¥2,000–3,000 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Vegan Sushi, Vegan Bento Box Vegetarian options: All vegan.

Thank you so much for your thoughtful and heartfelt review. We are deeply grateful for the time you took to share your experience. It means so much to us that you appreciated not only the food itself, but also the care, passion, and philosophy behind it. Thank you for your kind words about our bento, our ingredients, and the balance of flavors and textures. We carefully prepare each meal with the hope that it will be both nourishing and enjoyable. We also truly enjoyed meeting you and sharing stories, photos, and travel suggestions. One of the greatest joys of running a small restaurant is the opportunity to connect with wonderful people from around the world. Your encouragement means a great deal to us. Thank you for recommending M's Bento to other travelers, and we hope to welcome you again whenever your journey brings you back to Arashiyama. Warm regards, The Sisters at M's Bento

I recently had the pleasure of dining at M's Bento, and it was a delightful experience from start to finish. The vegan food is incredibly well-crafted, with fresh, vibrant flavors in every bite. I was particularly impressed by the vegan sushi, which was expertly prepared and full of flavor. The apple juice was a perfect, refreshing complement to the meal. Beyond the food, the hospitality truly stands out. The staff was welcoming and attentive, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere that made the meal feel even more special.
