This was a truly special experience, one of the most heartwarming and unique of our trip. Food was 10/10 with a huge menu that was all being prepared by a single chef. We walked up a tiny set of stairs in an alley and were greeted by the nicest waiter. The restaurant overlooks a canal and was full of locals. They have mementos from all their customers dating back over 20 years and they had notebooks for visitors from each country with shared experiences and travel tips. At the end of the meal the waiter made us origami cranes before sending us off with the warmest goodbye. Total bill with drinks for 3 people and more food than we could eat was 11k yen. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Price per person: ¥3,000–4,000
