I have had very good impression of Nakhon Kitchen’s food, as I have been dining very regularly in its Bedok outlet before the opening of it’s Tampines (Century Square) outlet.
First of all, the Tom yum was wayyyyyyyy too salty. It was the first time in my life that I did not finished my Tom yum soup (more than half a bowl left). I’m a huge fan of Tom yum soup, not only way it salty beyond consumption, it was not fragrant at all. The rest of the dishes on the table was not up to standard as well.
The service. It was horrendous. We were trying to finish our food as quickly as we can as we know that they close at 10pm. By 9:30pm, they requested us to settle our bill and proceeded to blast the music as loud as they can to ‘chase’ the customers home. No ‘sorry we are closing in 15 minutes’ or anything. Just rude by showing their attitude while the manager sits on one of the tables to scroll through his phone.
We didn’t finished our food and left shortly after the ‘disco session’ started.
We try to support local business but some local business are not very interested at sustaining I suppose. That will be my last time at this outlet. Period.
