I’m a Sri Lankan, as I’m not cooking these days, wanted to taste some rice and curry. Unfortunately the food looks like it has been serving since lunch. I placed my order 7.15pm and one of the curry was spoilt. They should have apologised or show more attention to my complaint. But no. Then the Kottu was taste like Indian Kottu. The mere reason we went there to experience the Sri Lankan Kottu. Otherwise it would be just 6$ and Indian shops usually put more chicken. So disappointing there too. Then asked for “kiri the” Sri Lankan style milk tea. Just like a hawka teh in Singapore. Overall total failure. Price, 8.5$ for Kottu / rice that’s okay given they don’t get much customer base. But quality compromises are unacceptable Meal type: Dinner Price per person: SGD 1–10 Food: 1 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 3 Vegetarian options: Yes there are.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Navarisi restaurant and I must say, I was blown away by their string hoppers, dahl (parippu), mutton bistake and pol sambol dish.The string hoppers were incredibly fresh and had a delicate texture that perfectly complemented the rich and flavorful mutton curry (Chef's special dish on that day!), and the favourite parippu with pol sambol. All in all, I highly recommend Navarisi to anyone looking for a delicious and authentic Sri Lankan dining experience. The mutton bistake especially, is definitely a dish that I would love to have again in the future!
