Tonight (3/8) after 6 years, we ate at Nely's again and the owner still recognized us. The food is truly fantastic. Everything is prepared fresh for you. Delicious! The owner is also such a sweet, beautiful woman. When we are on Samui, we will definitely come back. Meal type: Dinner Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

The owner Nely (actual name Ploy) is such a hardworking, caring, friendly and bright woman. We have gone back to her restaurant everyday during our week in Koh Samui because the food is absolutely incredible! Her restaurant has an authentic familial home feel, and is the perfect place for a comfortable and chilled atmosphere after a busy day out or from the beach (which is only a 15 min walk from Chaweng Noi). Her son also helps out with serving and deliveries. Some of our favourites were the pineapple fried rice (topped with cashews and lightly seasoned), papaya salad (made of the unripe 'young papaya' which is savoury with a slight tang), and of course the classic Pad Thai (impeccably peanutty). Each dish is highly customisable and there is usually a choice between chicken, pork, beef, or shrimp. To be very honest, this may actually be the best quality and most authentic Thai food found on the island, especially for its bargain prices and huge portions! Hence, make sure to 'do it the Thai way' and order a variety to share with friends or family when there. On our last day there, Nely gave us a free plate of watermelon to thank us for returning so often - she is the sweetest. It is noted in some other reviews that the insects can be a slight disturbance, however, this is normal as the restaurant is located on a remote tropical island - you should expect yourself to be surrounded by nature when visiting places like Koh Samui! 10/10 staff, 10/10 food, 10/10 service. Can't get any much better than this place :) DEFINITELY find some time to fit Nely's restaurant in your agenda when coming to Koh Samui, you won't regret it! We have been to Nely restaurant a few times and we loved it! The food is delicious, fresh ingredients, and made to order, the portions are pretty big and great flavors. The owners are very kind and the restaurant is cute
