Ordered the grilled fish set, tempura set, and sushi, everything was really good. Crispy tempura, fresh sushi, and the grilled fish was spot on. Feels like proper home-cooked Japanese food. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Authentic Japanese cuisine with friendly personal service. Today we ventured out of Bangkok city to Rama IX district. We were keen to fins and try a relatively new Japanese restaurant recommended to us. Nen (念) Rama 9 - Modern Japanese Homecook is a creation of two local Thai sisters who have an immense passion for Japanese cuisine. While the service was friendly and prompt, it was the quality of the food that really won us over. My wife loved the Salmon Kaiseki Sashimi set that was complemented by several homemade sauces and sides. For me my favourites were the Tempura prawns and vegetables and the yummy chicken Karaage - a must try. We could see why the name says “Homecook” - the food had tastes like what we would imagine Japanese home cooking would taste like but with the immaculate presentation of first class restaurant. We highly recommend this restaurant for people who want to try home cooked-style local Japanese food prepared and cooked with passion. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Meal type: Lunch
