Very disappointing experience at Ollella. The noodles were badly cooked — somehow both hard and mushy at the same time. The texture was unpleasant and felt like they were neither properly cooked nor prepared with care. The traditional kueh was equally disappointing. The kueh lapis sagu lacked the rich santan flavour that is essential to this dessert. Instead, it tasted sweet with almost no coconut aroma or depth. The bika ambon looked and smelled promising at first, but the fragrance felt artificial. Texture-wise, it was dense, hard, and lacked the signature springy, chewy consistency that a good bika ambon should have. The biggest surprise was the kueh talam. This is a kueh that is supposed to be soft, smooth, and slightly springy. Somehow, they managed to produce one that was hard and firm, completely missing the expected texture. For a place serving traditional kueh and noodles, the basics should be done right. Unfortunately, every item we tried missed the mark. Definitely not worth the price, and I would not return. Food: 1

Tried their takeaway platter for a gathering and received great compliments from my guests! Bite size and really tasty. The cempedak cake is also really fragrant and soft. Definitely highly recommended it. Meal type: Lunch Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Didn’t manage to make the cut off to order a tray of their kuehs for a last minute Hari Raya celebration. Made my way down and picked what’s there. Brought it back and managed to have it displayed nicely. Thankfully my colleagues enjoyed it very much. Portion was just nice and flavour was on point. Puteri salat was good. Not too sweet and the custard was just nice. Price per person: SGD 1–10 Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 3 Vegetarian options: Yes Dietary restrictions: Halal certified
