We recently found out about Oscar American Chinese and were really excited to try it out because this was our first time discovering Chinese vegan food in Tokyo. The ambience was peaceful and vibrant with not a big rush around 5pm. The menu consisted of various kinds of vegan “chicken” recipes accompanied by rice/noodles side dish. Looking at so many choices we were happy and even more excited to taste. When we ordered and sat down to wait for our food to arrive, i heard a microwave ring up. We figured that our food is being microwaved which was a little disappointing because we would have loved to have fresh hot food. But still that did not deter our high hopes. When the food arrived it smelled and looked devouring. And finally the taste, i personally loved everything specially the quantity! It was a great experience trying vegan Chinese food in Tokyo but it would have been even better if it was fresh and hot, not lukewarm and microwaved. We will definitely come again!
