We started with a pot of Aged Tangerine Peel Puer Tea to warm our stomachs, which released a rich and comforting citrus aroma after the second steep. The soups were exceptional: the Braised Fish Maw in Golden Soup was rich and flavorful, with the fish maw fully absorbing the savory broth, while the Double-Boiled Chicken Soup with Fig and Sea Coconut was light, refreshing, and generous with ingredients. The main dishes delivered on both taste and presentation. The Smoked Chicken with Scallion Oil, Dried Scallops, and Sakura Shrimp Paste arrived with a theatrical flair as smoke gently wafted out upon lifting the lid—perfect for photos! The chicken was tender with a delicate smoky note that paired wonderfully with the savory toppings. The French Mustard Prawns were large, bouncy, and lightly spiced. The Nostalgic Sweet and Sour Pork with Threaded Sugar achieved a crispy exterior and tender interior, complete with delicate sugar threads as you picked them up. Meanwhile, the Fried Rice was artfully shaped like a koi fish—full marks for presentation, with beautifully distinct, fragrant grains of rice. We wrapped up the meal with two delightful desserts. The Crispy Rainbow Glutinous Rice Balls with Ginger Tea were crispy on the outside, soft inside, and perfectly complemented by the gentle kick of ginger tea. The Avocado Sago Puree was smooth, creamy, and bursting with rich avocado flavor. Overall, the dishes were creatively crafted, exquisitely presented, and genuinely delicious.
