Tucked inside the Inhouse Hotel in Yehliu, this café is an easy and welcome stop just a few minutes’ walk from the Yehliu Visitor Center. It’s the kind of place you’re glad to stumble upon after exploring the area—spacious, relaxed, and clearly designed to let people sit and unwind rather than rush in and out. Seating is plentiful, and the menu covers comforting staples like pasta, risotto, fries, juices, and hot drinks. Ordering is straightforward in theory: you choose a table and scan a QR code to order. The catch is that the menu is entirely in Chinese. Thankfully, the cashier was genuinely helpful and spoke just enough English to guide me through the process, which made the experience smooth rather than frustrating. I ordered cheese fries with truffle sauce, a creamy corn soup, and a coffee latte. Portions were surprisingly generous. The corn soup arrived hot in a decorative bowl, and the first sip delivered a rich, creamy depth that was immediately comforting. The fries were indulgent, with occasional cheese pulls and a truffle sauce that blended well without overpowering the dish. Overall, this café feels like a warm, affordable refuge near Yehliu—unpretentious, filling, and quietly satisfying, especially when you need a break from sightseeing. Heartfelt advice: Never order a main meal per person! The food portions are amazing, taking stewed rice as an example, 1 large and 2 snacks are definitely enough! The price may seem a bit high at first glance, but the deliciousness and portion size of the meal are worth it. The service staff were very enthusiastic. The male waiter outside that day actively assisted foreign guests in ordering food, and the service attitude was very good. In a scenic area like Yehliu, ocean cafe’s catering performance is amazing.
