I visited this store today and had the most sour kopi c kosong I’ve ever tasted. This wasn’t my first visit, so I know this isn’t their usual taste. I informed the staff, and she made a second cup, which tasted exactly the same. I then asked her to try the brew herself, but she refused, saying she doesn’t usually drink coffee. Okay So I asked for teh instead, thinking it might be an issue with the coffee calibration. She replied that she had already made two cups (the first, of which I took only one sip because it was so bad, and the second she just made, which I also tasted with just one sip) and said she couldn’t make another drink. It was not like I was out to scam her for a free drink, I paid and took only two sips of BAD coffee which she could clearly see. First, there was no attempt to investigate whether something was actually wrong. Second, my concerns were dismissed without any explanation. Third, she told me to just inform her boss next time. Huh? I can’t exactly keep evidence in a vial for next time right? All my colleagues then tried the kopi and confirmed that the milk was very off, especially since one of their teh c also tasted funky. We eventually ditched their drinks and bought drinks from next door at Chaitea, which tasted much more decent. On other days, I only come to this place because it’s one of the few spots with plenty of empty seats even though the machine-made coffee isn’t worth the $2. It tastes so bland but at least was not sour. Truly disappointing service and quality of drinks. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 2
