Last weekend, I went to koh samet for my first three days in Thailand. On recommendation from a friend, went to old Amsterdam to inquire about watching an early morning American football game with my favorite team, Oregon Ducks playing Saturday at 730am local time. Played few games of pool and a couple beers. Great place with nice atmosphere. The owner, Hans, said probably not, but ask the manager behind the counter (his wife I think). So I did. I offered her 1000 bhat to open at 730am for me and my group. She agreed. Paid 500 bhat deposit. All went pretty much great, except my team got smoked. 555 Thank you to Hans for working through the troubleshooting issues to connect with the live broadcast by the start of the game. And thank you to the staff for the great morning drinks. They do not serve food, but we ordered from Sausage Factory a block away, and that place is amazing for breakfast! Highly recommend Old Amsterdam bar Koh Samet! Food: 3 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
