シーシャカフェなんか行ったことなくて、怪しげな雰囲気にビビりながらランチに入ったが、日本人女性がやってて意外にポップな店だった。 いただいたのはエジプトの国民食コシャリ。ヴィーガンに人気のメニューでもあるが、ファラフェル同様、スパイスの効いたパンチのある味なんで動物性蛋白質が無い割に満足度はある。 ただボリュームは控えめなんで夜までに腹減るやつｗ. Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: ¥1,000–2,000

I strongly advise avoiding this place. We left traumatised due to its double standard treatment but not the local staff. In Malay we said: “Pak Arab kedai ni pilih bulu” It’s like this. My wife and I visited Old Cairo Café in Osaka during our honeymoon, hoping to enjoy a good halal meal. Unfortunately, it turned out to be a terrible experience. We arrived late at night and as Google search suggests this place as the name it seems halal. Upon arrival at the door steps upstairs, we waited to be seated. An older Middle Eastern-looking man, possibly the owner, was attending to another customer. He briefly glanced at us but said nothing—no greeting, no acknowledgement—before heading to the kitchen. He later returned to the same customer, speaking in his native dialect and being extremely friendly with them, while completely ignoring us. Eventually, a Japanese staff member approached us and explained that there was a cover charge per person and that everyone must order a drink. We had no issue with this and proceeded to check the menu. However, the older man continued engaging with the other customer while occasionally looking at us with what felt like a judgmental stare. It was uncomfortable and unwelcoming. Feeling disrespected and unwelcome, we decided to leave—even though we were starving. This experience left us with a bad impression, and from then on, we opted to support halal Japanese/local businesses instead of Middle Eastern eateries which led us traumatised by its treatment. I strongly advise avoiding this place. The service felt discriminatory as if we were not worthy of being accommodated. Perhaps our casual attire led to a double standard in treatment, but whatever the reason, no customer should feel this way. Hospitality and respect should be given to all, regardless of background. Shame on this establishment for its biased treatment. Service: 1
