This restaurant kind of summarizes everything I dislike about mass tourism. We were a bit wary to go in because of how it looked but then were hungry and on our way to the airport, so we thought - let’s have a burger. What could go wrong? Turns out, a lot. It started with the atmosphere, which smelled of old fat and stale smoke. Then the burger. When the grill cook opened a bag of ARO branded burger buns from Makro (the absolutely cheapest and lowest quality kind of ingredients you can find) I already knew what was coming. He then fired up a gas grill (the next fauxpas) and put on the meat and bacon. For whatever incomprehensible reason, he then torched both the meat and the bacon with a gas blowtorch - there’s no better way to ruin any dish. The burger looked great but tasted quite bad. The meat itself - my only hope - tasted sour and strange. The pasta my companion had came out of the microwave - clearly audible in the otherwise empty restaurant. It also tasted that way. We took one bite, paid and then left - something we should’ve done since the beginning. We have eaten at Oliver's Steakhouse half a dozen times over the last two weeks. Everything we have eaten has been cooked to perfection, I recommend the ribeye, or just the beef patties, which if you are on a carnivore diet are a great choice. The staff are attentive, and the chef is very accommodating. Price is reasonable compared to a couple of steak houses at Fisherman's Village. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Meal type: Dinner Price per person: ฿400–500
