Great beach front bar! A real gem amongst a lot of very ordinary places. Food - fabulous menu, really fresh, kitchens look immaculately kept and great tasting! Service - spot on. Prompt, efficient, still friendly. 2 for 1 drinks brought to your attention as “Happy Hour” even though I had no idea there was a HH….one beer downed, another on your table before you’ve even thought to ask Cocktails - great selection of alcoholic and mocktail drinks expertly mixed by Lip Music - fits the food and the mood and makes you want to stay! Staff - so, so organised, a real team at work here, notably Thai nationals which is EXACTLY as it should be! There was a mid afternoon downpour ️ which was spotted with 20 minutes notice, we were moved inside, continued to enjoy the moment and then, when the rains had passed, the team got to work again sorting the saturated front terrace out! Great to see!! Atmosphere - upbeat, friendly, happy, positive!! All the attributes I want to experience when I’m spending my hard earned and over taxed UK dosh!! Try it, you’ll love it!! A very pleasant experience at Olivio Restaurant in Koh Samui. I chose the beef Massaman curry, and it was absolutely delicious. The sauce was perfectly spiced, with just the right amount of heat to give the dish character without overpowering the different flavours. The beef was excellent: slow-cooked and very well prepared, making it extremely tender, almost melt-in-the-mouth, and not stringy at all. It was served with rice and the whole dish was very well balanced and full of flavour. The papaya salad was also very good, according to the person dining with me. The service was excellent as well. The waitresses were very attentive, discreetly checking that everything was going well and that we were enjoying our dishes, without ever being intrusive. The service was professional, efficient and warm, with that wonderful Thai sense of discretion and kindness. The setting adds a lot to the experience: we were seated at a table almost right on the water, slightly elevated above the beach, with a very pleasant view. It created a lovely atmosphere for a relaxed dinner. A great address for the quality of the food, the setting and the service. I highly recommend it — definitely worth a visit.
