Come here for a drink after a long walk around Hong Kong Central Library. Don't forget to degust good salads at this restaurant. Most guests state that the staff is courteous. The enjoyable service is a great benefit of Ollies Tai Hang. You will definitely like the cool atmosphere. 4.2 is what this place got from the Google rating system.

Some of the best food I've ever had. Menu is really varied and everything i tried was perfection. Breakfast menu is great, food arrived so quickly, service was super friendly, went back to try some of their lunch menu ended up having the most glorious wagyu burger. Love it. Meal type: Brunch Price per person: HK$200–250

Disgraceful service—rushed out in 40 minutes while still drinking! Avoid Ollies Tai Hang if you want a relaxing Sunday. My friend and I spent $356 HKD for brunch, but the service was hostile and disorganized. I had to repeat my coffee order 3 times to different staff members. Worse, as soon as I finished my main dish, the staff (Sheikh) told us he "really needed the table back" for a couple outside—even though my coffee was still 3/4 full and there was an empty 4-person table nearby. He brought the bill and credit card machine to the table immediately to force us out. My friend had to tell him off just so I could finish my drink. He then spent the next few minutes avoiding eye contact until we called him back to pay. A half-hearted "sorry" at the end didn't make up for being harassed. To top it off, the coffee was lukewarm and poor quality. We were kicked out in 46 minutes total. Truly the worst service I’ve experienced in a Western restaurant in Hong Kong. Having visited the Sheung Wan brunch numerous times I was looking forward to an Ollies closer to home. I went around 11:00 on a Saturday and there were a few other tables but nothing too busy. Ordered the coffee and avacado smash with bacon and honestly was pretty let down. Coffee: (long black) came out in a tall glass on a saucer that didn't fit the base. I'd rather just have a black coffee served in a mug or stoneware than glass. The coffee itself was a real let down, it looked muddy, tasted awful and I ended up leaving over half. Food: Avacado smash with bacon. Food came out very fast, to the point I'm assuming most of the ingredients are just left in hot hold and reheated. Eggs were cooked well but the avacado/sauce combination was quite mushy/liquid which partnered with a very soft white slice of bread (not a hearty sour dough) made the dish texture a little unpleasant almost soggy and mush? Flavours were fine just a texture issue. Bacon was way too crispy to the point it had blackened edges on some pieces and was dry. Again it was all edible but considering it cost nearly $250 hkd it was a really disappointing experience compared to the visits I've made to the Sheung Wan Branch. Hopefully they can address those issues maybe offering a better bread for their toast and working on their coffee offering and cup choices. Service was friendly.
