期待以上でもなく期待以下でもなくもっとオリジナル感の味が欲しいと感じました。男性であればもう少しボリュームがあった方がいいかも。

Come to Omnivore!! This is our favorite restaurant in Neihu AND Taipei. Their menu is carefully curated and always delicious. I know, I’ve tried everything on it! The service is top notch where you’re always welcomed with a smiling face and warm welcome. The servers are amazing and helpful with any questions (and their English is great!). We are regulars there now because the service and food is so consistently great. This is a 10 star restaurant! Meal type: Lunch Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Neihu is not where you go looking for the sweat, the steam, or the beautiful grit of old Taipei. It’s where the city grows wide, green, and expensive. It’s a neighborhood of tech money, sprawling residential high-rises, and the massive, imposing fortress that is the American Institute in Taiwan. It feels like a piece of Northern California got dropped into East Asia. And right there on Jinhu Road, catering to the expat crowd, the embassy types, and locals looking for a taste of the Western dream, sits Omnivore. It is, on the surface, exactly the kind of sun-drenched, lifestyle-brunch cafe that usually makes me want to run for the nearest dark dive bar. It’s comfortable. It’s got a narrow terrace, a pet-friendly policy, and a crowd of people casually sipping iced lattes while their dogs lounge on the floor. It is hyper-civilized. But beneath that glossy, lifestyle-magazine exterior, they are doing something remarkably honest. The Custom Plate Ritual The heart of Omnivore is an exercise in culinary autonomy. They give you a slip of paper and let you build your own breakfast plate. In less capable hands, this is a disaster waiting to happen—a lazy excuse for a kitchen to stop formatting a cohesive menu. But here, the components actually stand up on their own. Let’s talk about the French Toast. Most places outside of France or New Orleans treat French toast like an afterthought—dry bread dragged through a sad egg wash and smothered in cheap syrup to hide the crime. Here? It is an absolute revelation. It’s dense, custardy, and heavy, boasting a texture so soft and yielding it borders on bread pudding. It’s got that beautiful, deeply caramelized outer edge that gives way to a rich, molten interior. Pair that with their Avocado Toast—clean, bright, and loaded with the kind of fatty, green richness that makes you understand why a whole generation allegedly mortgaged their futures for it—or their house-made Pulled Pork, and you have a plate that isn't just fuel. It’s comfort. If you're feeling less DIY, the Pumpkin Soup is a thick, velvet-smooth bowl of gold that tastes like it was actually made from real squash, not a powder from a plastic bag. It’s sweet, earthy, and restorative. The Grumble Now, let’s be real. The internet is full of people complaining about the prices here. At $400 to $600 TWD a head, it ain’t the local noodle stand down the block. It’s an investment in an experience. Some days, the service might lag when the weekend rush hits and every goldendoodle in Neihu is underfoot. Some reviewers will tell you the portions don't match the price tag, or that a specific piece of sous-vide chicken lacked the soul of a bird roasted over charcoal. They aren't entirely wrong—if you come here looking for street-level intensity, you missed the exit. Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $600–800 Food: 3 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3
