This restaurant is a gem in Ao Nang as its one of the rare few ones that serve genuine Thai food. Many restaurants along the main Ao Nang drag serve a messy fusion of Thai, Indian and Western cuisine. They really don't look authentic and are clearly tourist traps. Onanong is run by a Thai couple. Their place is unpretentious, I.e. basic furniture, fans and a small kitchen capable of whipping up more than 50 dishes on their menu. It feel truly Thai and their dishes are very reasonably priced for a highly touristic place like Ao Nang. There is only one chef serving the six tables or so. If you go during peak hours, be prepared to wait a little for your food. It wasn't too much of a problem for me as I was on vacation mood and island time. I had dinner there twice. The second dinner of mine there comprised of a Masamman curry and morning glory. Easily the best food I had in Thailand. Not only is it cheap but it has so much flavour. After reading the reviews I had to check it out and after my first soup I was 3 more times there :) If you are in the area I strongly recomend checking it out. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
