築100年以上の建物内にあるとても素敵なバー。ドリンクは色々なテーマをモチーフにしたオリジナルカクテルが豊富。スタッフのサービスレベルは5つ星ホテル以上のクオリティ。また、同じ建物内にあるミシュラン星付きレストランPOTONGから提供される炒飯は色んな旨みがありながら、くどく無くて最高。. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Price per person: ฿1,000+

My last visit to Opium Bar was about three years ago, not long after it had opened. The restaurant downstairs was extremely popular and difficult to book at the time, so three friends and I ended up coming upstairs for drinks instead. Back then, I remember feeling that the concepts behind the cocktails were much stronger than the drinks themselves. We tried several cocktails, but none of them really worked for us, so I never felt the need to return. Recently, while drinking around Chinatown, a friend asked what other bars were nearby, and I suggested giving Opium another try. I had also noticed that the reviews were quite mixed, perhaps because its reputation creates such high expectations. This visit completely changed my impression. The atmosphere was lovely, and although it was not particularly crowded for a Saturday night, there were still enough guests for the room to feel lively. The service was warm and attentive, and the cocktail menu felt much more developed, distinctive, and polished than I remembered. I started with a mezcal-based Martini, which was unusual and genuinely delicious. I then ordered a refreshing cocktail recommended by the staff, and that was very good as well. My friend had a banana-based cocktail and enjoyed it so much that he ordered it twice. Overall, this visit replaced my old, disappointing memory with a much better one. The drinks now feel as thoughtful and interesting as the concepts behind them. Definitely worth revisiting. Price per person: ฿800–1,000
